Edward Wayne Pastusek, 56, CEO of
Horizon Tech Industries and XS Sight Systems, died Wednesday, March 24,
2010.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Rosary: 8 p.m. Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church.

Edward Wayne Pastusek was born July 4, 1953, in Iowa Park to Wesley
Raymond and Marie Josephine Knezek Pastusek. He graduated from Eastern
Hills High School in 1972 and attended UTA. Gifted with an
entrepreneurial spirit, Ed began his first manufacturing business in his
father's garage at age 19 and thus began a lifelong family business. Ed
was awarded numerous patents for his work and was active in UTA's
mechanical engineering project, the UTA formula SAE car. Ed was active
in Boy Scouts and honored many times with the Eagle Scout Mentor pin. He
was a former member of the Lions Club and NRA and a founding member of
the "Smallville Group" at the Dixie House Cafe.
He was preceded in
death by his father, Pat Pastusek; brother, Wesley Eugene; and sister,
Fran Findley.
Survivors: Wife of 35 years, Mary Catherine Morbitzer
Pastusek; daughter, Kellie Brunn and husband, Mike; son, Jonathan Edward
Pastusek and fiancee, Stephanie Holloway; granddaughter, Alexia Brunn;
mother, Marie Pastusek; twin sister, Betty Phipps; and brothers, retired
U.S. Air Force Col. Robert Pastusek, Mike Pastusek and Paul Pastusek.
