Ann Olson Ivey, 57, went home to be
with the Lord on Saturday, April 3, 2010. She died of early onset
Alzheimer's disease.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Pantego
Bible Church. Private entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of
flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Arlington Pregnancy Centers or
Pantego Bible Church.
Ann was born June 6, 1952, in Dallas. She
graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1970. She attended Austin
College and completed her bachelor of science in physical therapy in
1974. Most of her working career was as a physical therapist in the
Arlington Independent School District. She joined Pantego Bible Church
in 1976 and was involved in many of its ministries. She helped develop
the creative homemakers curriculum for home schooling families and was
also a past president of the Arlington Home School Association. She was a
board member of the Arlington Night Shelter and was involved in the
Arlington Junior League. She founded the Arlington Pregnancy Center in
1984. It will soon celebrate its 50,000th client. She married Larry Ivey
in 1974, and together they raised their two children, Garrett Ivey, a
lieutenant in the National Guard, and Courtney Farley, a teacher in the
Arlington Independent School District.

years, Larry Ivey; son, Garrett Graham Ivey; daughter, Courtney Ivey
Farley and husband, Austin; parents, Al and Pat Olson of Dallas; and
brother, Robert Olson of Richardson.
